When speaking of a mixture, I am referring to compound remedies. An
example would be a remedy such as "Indigestion - Gas" that contains,
among other things, pepsinum, arnica, hydrastis, ipecacuanha, lachesis,
phosphorus, chamomilla, echinacea and ruta.
Even though such a remedy may work better than a combination of reglan
and pepcid, a classical homeopath will typically prescribe the one
single remedy most appropriate for the overall problem.
Thankfully, our dogs are in good health so no, I'm not using any
homeopathics at this time. If and when that situation changes, I will be
using them again. I do believe in them.
A word of warning... trying wrap your head around how homeopathy works
may make your head explode :-)
