I am Karen Powers, I live in Vermont and the founder/president of Green Mtn Pug Rescue. My own rescue pug Princess age 14ish. She had a spot show up on her teet that looked nasty literally overnight and I immed had it removed and biopsied. Today my vet called to tell me she has mammary cancer- adenocarcinoma ( spelling).
While I have shed some tears over this and am terrified of this coming back, I am just as determined to feed /give her whatever possible to ensure it does not! She is on taste of wild and that's fine except it has potatoe in it:( so must change to a diet of no grain and no potatoes - any thoughts- MUST be all natural for me to feed her. Supplements I am looking at to give her are: tumeric and pepper with vit c granules added to diet and also esential oils of lavender and frankencense and also efa-3 and getting IP-6 pills ( heard all this tonight from friends on Facebook).
So I would love to hear from other dog owners that have gone through this type of cancer..
