Hi All - I wanted so much to thank everyone personally for their kind words and support for me and Patrick for his big one-year check-up with the onc. I am so swamped with things right now and start teaching summer school tomorrow, so I worry that I just won't get it done.

 

So........... THANK YOU ALL! You are such wonderful friends and I swear that Patrick knows it too! I honestly could not have gotten this far without you all. Of course, be prepared because we'll be back for our next 8 week check-up before you know it and I'll be asking for positive thoughts once again (now I can't go in for a visit without all your prayers backing me up). My onc thinks we can breath easy at the 2 yr mark (it's that darn mitotic index that keeps him worrying)... that means only 6 more visits - wow. I hope we can make it... hope my Patrick can continue to beat this beast. He is a strong and brave that's for sure... he hasn't been phased in the least by any of this craziness! I know the radiation did the trick at the tumor site, and now the supplements are keeping his immune system strong so he can continue to live happily for many many more years.

 

You and your pups are in my thoughts and prayers every single day... hugs to all of you!
