Hi Erin - I am so happy to hear that Meeve was feeling better this morning and that she had a little breakfast! Did you get any news on the biopsy results? I didn't get Patrick's last biopsy back for 6 days - I was going nuts waiting to hear. Please keep us posted!
I'm not really sure what advice to give on your two options regarding an onc. Trust your instincts... you might need to schedule a consult with both to know for sure. I chose to drive 2 hours to my onc because the hospital came highly recommended (even though there were other oncs closer to home). One thing that could be a big deciding factor may depend upon exactly what type of cancer you are facing and the treatment options available. For example, if radiation is recommended the local specialty hospital may not have the equipment - while the teaching hospital might be state of the art.
