First thing tomorrow morning, Sluggo is having the larger of his two
tumors removed so that we can have it profiled. Through this process
(fingers and toes crossed), the oncologists might finally figure out
what if any chemo agent could stop this cancer. Nothing has really
worked so far.
The surgeon said that because of the location of the tumor
(prescapular lymph node) it's something of a complex procedure, though
he doesn't expect the operation to be much longer than 45 minutes or
so. He expects a lot of swelling so Sluggo will definitely be spending
the night at the hospital. Please send a prayer for my big Boston.
He's happily snoring away after a steak dinner, but mama is starting
to fret...
