I haven't posted in a while but wanted to check in to say hello, and give you an update on Dorothy.
D has been doing very well with her Vincristine and Cytoxan treatments these past 2 1/2 months. She's been playing and acting like her regular, goofy boxer self and has lots of energy. She's up to 47.7 pounds from the mere 36 she weighed in December! The last few weeks it seems that she has started to get picky with her food again, and acting like she has an upset tummy, though. Her oncologist recommended trying Lomustine, so she got her first treatment this afternoon. Our fingers are crossed for little or no side effects and that she responds well. It was agreed though that the treatments are keeping the cancer at bay, but not fighting it off enough to achieve a solid remission...
Despite this, every day with her is a gift. No matter what the future holds, she's here with us now. And for everyone in the group, I wish you and your furkids well on this journey we are all going through together.
