Tom,
I just read that your Chester is not eating. I, too, went through this with Zoe both during radiation and chemo; however, she did not have both protocols at the same time. With radiation, she didn't eat because she has burns in her mouth and it was just too painful - in fact she would drink water either. She received several subq fluid injections at the hospital.
With chemo, she had several different protocols. Some she tolerated well - others she did not. Although she did not vomit, there were times she didn't eat for up to 5 days. I, too, tried every conconction imaginable. Finally, I broke down and went to a europeon store that makes all of their own cold cuts with no preservatives and I bought liverwurst. I hand fed this to Zoe for several days as it was the only thing I could get her to eat but finally she would refuse this as well.
Eventually, Zoe's appetite would come back but there were several more times I brought her to the hospital for subq fluids as she was dehydrated from not drinking any water. One time, after a week of not eating, the oncologist presecribed an appetite stimulant which took about 3 days to work but it finally did.
I wish you the best of luck - don't give up. Chester just feels lousy!!
