Hi Rachelle, and (sadly) welcome.  I sent you a private email - hope you got that.  Essentially I said that radiation may be an option for many dogs when surgery (or I suppose amputation) can't be done to remove all possible cancerous cells - the "fingers" that the vet described.  If there is a canine oncologist in your area, especially a center that offers radiation, you may want to go for a consult. Radiation, while expensive and time-consuming (I was told it would be M - F for 3 weeks, 15 mins. per session) might be another option.

Did your vet suggest giving Benedryl and Pepcid or some other stomach med?  That's often recommended for dogs with MCT, since histamine is released, and can cause stomach acidity.
