[CanineCancer] Re: Erin/Meeve

Thank you so much Sue..she is a million times better today, almost her old self! I am so relieved. It must have been the injection she got (morphine related is all I know) or the tramadol or a combo of those with the Rimadyl that was bothering her.

Unfortunately my vet doesn't have someone there 24/7, and TBH she has so much anxiety there I don't think it would have been good.

Neither my vet, who saw again an hour after surgery pick up an prescribed tramadol because she wouldn't stop crying and couldn't lay down, nor the stand-in I saw yesterday for the same issue, said anything about the possibility of her showing a negative reaction to the pain med(s). I'm convinced that was what was going on. They just think she was upset in general, upset at the disorientation from the pain injection, and showing separation anxiety/situational anxiety.

It's scary to not be sure of your vet. We'll be seeing an oncologist for anything from here on out, aside from staple and patch removal.
