I am sorry you are having such a tough time with Grey -- I hope that adjusting his meds a bit will allow some of his appetite to come back. It is so hard when our pups refuse food... You sound that you have a lot of experience on how to help and when and with what. The liver is a tough one -- kind of like between a rock and a hard place with cancer...the carbs that might ease the stress on the liver are also the ones that fuel the cancer. I am curious how the vet assessed Grey's pain level...if the Tramadol is what made him feel better and start eating a bit last week...maybe by taking his pain meds down also reduced his appetite? I can't imagine cancer in the liver not to cause visceral pain. Our dogs hide it so well. Please give Grey plenty of love and a little extra from me. It's not easy.
Our thoughts are with you both,
Cinda and Slinky
