[CanineCancer] Grey and prednisolone

Grey quit eating yesterday after his second of three loading doses of
prednisolone. He's supposed to have 10 mg three days in a row then go to
10 mg every other day. I have a call in to the vet about this. I'll have
to support him on a liquid diet until we get this sorted out.

I propped him up with Stat yesterday. This is a high carb, high fat,
high calorie liquid supplement. 185 calories per ounce.

Today I made him an easily digestible modified liquid that gives him 154
calories per 2 oz but brings the protein up to 33% and drops the fat to
31%. He's doing well with that but I imagine I need to do some serious
corrections with the Omega 3:6:9 ratios since a major component of the
Stat is soybean oil.

I looked up the recipes for Satin Balls. Thanks for the tip.

I'm not sure if Grey could stand up to an exploratory surgery at this
point and I don't know that we want to subject him to something like
that. He's almost 14 years old. I imagine bile duct blockage is a major
problem regardless of the cause.
