[CanineCancer] Re: Intro - Lynna and Jackson the Boxer......sorry it's so long

Hi Lynna,

Lymphoma is a heartbreaking road for sure. Prednisone or Dexamethasone may help Jack get some of his appetite back and may help slow the progression of the lymphoma. Hills N/D is the fish oil cancer diet and you may want to consider adding some into the diet you are currently preparing for him to add some additional fish oil and nutrition. Both my girls loved the N/D and in fact Scitzo's been eating it for about 1 1/2 years.

Give yourself permission to be exhausted and to experience your feelings. Denying how you feel now won't do you or Jack any good. It's a hard, emotional, exhausting road. If you can, ask someone to help you by staying for Jack for an hour or so & go do something just for you. Even if it's taking a nap in your own bed & getting some actual REST without feeling like you are neglecting Jack it will do you a world of good.

Believe me when I tell you, I know how you feel. I had 2 going through chemo at the same time. There were days when I wasn't even sure I had the right dog in the car with me when we were going to the vet!

I wish you and Jackson all the best in your fight.
